Chris is heartbroken over his recent breakup and even more upset about the cast on his arm that prevents him from playing in the band.  What if the band wanted Nadia, the new singer, to replace him on guitar? But instead of becoming rivals, the two form a close friendship. Nadia supports Chris as he comes to terms with the breakup, but it is his best friend Derek who recognizes the new risk that Chris faces from his increasing dependence on pain medication.  

Song for Nadia teaches young people about the dangers of opioid abuse and the role that friends and family can play in preventing misuse and overdose.

At the end of the summer, Derek is excited to reconnect with his friends Maya and Chris.   He wonders whether his friendship with Maya could become something more--and  it seems to be going that way. But something doesn't feel right. Chris helps Derek understand what Maya is going through, and Maya’s new friend Elena steps in to ensure that Maya gets the help she needs.
